2. Booking a flight
When you complete a booking with us, a contract is formed between you and Travel Defenders Ltd for the flight and any extras purchased. All prices are in GBP and include our permanent 20% Defender discount.
3. Deposit & fare-lock policy
You may pay a deposit (minimum £50) to lock in your fare instead of paying in full. Once the deposit is received, Travel Defenders Ltd guarantees the price of your booking will not change. The remaining balance is due in full no later than 7 days before the departure date, calculated automatically from your travel date.
The deposit is non-refundable if: (a) the remaining balance is not paid by the due date; (b) the booking is cancelled by you at any point; or (c) the payment method fails and is not replaced within 48 hours of notification. Automatic email reminders will be sent 14, 7 and 2 days before the balance due date.
4. Cancellations & refunds
All deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation by you, failure to pay the outstanding balance, or a change of travel plans. This applies to every fare-lock deposit regardless of amount.
Where a booking has been paid in full and is subsequently cancelled by you, a refund may be issued only after deduction of the airline's cancellation charges and any applicable fare rules. The refundable portion is determined entirely by the operating airline's fare conditions — some fares are fully non-refundable, others permit partial refunds. Travel Defenders Ltd's administration fee of £25 per passenger will also apply to any full-payment cancellation.
Change requests are subject to the airline's change fees plus a £15 Travel Defenders Ltd service fee. Your specific rights are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email.
5. Financial protection
Package holidays purchased from Travel Defenders Ltd are ATOL protected. Flight-only bookings are protected under our IATA arrangements.
6. Complaints
Please contact us at bookings@traveldefendersltd.com or 0161 883 7431 within 28 days. Unresolved complaints may be referred to ABTA.
